One way to start a detox process or compensate a little all those toxins from processed sugary foods and unhealthy carbs from Holidays’ diet. Healthy Detox Smoothies Recipes
Dr. Oz Detox Smoothie Drink
Along with other smoothies in the diet plan, this smoothie is part of a 3-day detox. It’s green breakfast smoothie that helps start the elimination of toxins process in our bodies. The ingredients are a powerful combination that makes it a delicious drink and very healthy way to start the day. High fiber contents are provided by lemon juice, flax seed and raspberries to start cleansing your digestive system. The almond butter taste will leave you feeling saciated and loving it. You won’t need a high-powered blender!
1 cup of water
1 tablespoon of flax seed
1 cup of raspberries
¼ cup of spinach
1 tablespoon of almond butter
2 teaspoons of lemon juice
1 cup of ice
Powerful Green Smoothie
Green is what makes it powerful and so full of so good things. Green leaves filled with vitamins and minerals that leave your body feeling great all morning. Cucumbers, celery, kale, spinach, lemons and avocados are some of the greens you want to add to your smoothies always! These are the elements that will really help your body detox. There are many recipes for green smoothies, but here’s one that is easy and you will love it instantly! Full of all the good stuff!
1 handful Kale (leaves only, no stems)
1 cup of Coconut water
Your Best Green(choose one of each to make it a powerful, complete smoothie)
Greens: 1 cup of spinach, romaine, bok choy, swiss chard, collards, dandelion or kale
Liquid: 1 cup of water, coconut water, coconut milk, almond milk
Fruit: 1/2 cup of banana, mango, berries, orange, avocado, peach, pear, apple, pineapple, grapes
Superfood: 1 tbsp chia seeds, coconut oil, almond butter, hemp seeds, flax seeds, cacao, cinnamon, turmeric, acai powder, maca powder
Choco Banana Milk Shake
It is a milkshake, and it will not only leave you feeling great it’s certianly yummy! Cacao powder, preferably organic, is a superfood. You can also eat it, but making sure you choose the right kind: dark high cocoa content. There are more antioxidants in dark chocolate. It’s best with no added sugar or milk.
1 tbsp Dark Cocoa Powder
½ cup Coconut or Almond Milk
1 banana (or a handful of strawberries, or both!)
optional: add one tbsp of vanilla essence or a sweetener like honey or stevia to tune up the sweetness
1 cup of ice
