A common skin issue that affects many women is keratosis pilaris, also called chicken skin. This occurs when hair follicles are clogged with excess keratin making your skin look rough and bumpy. It is recommended by dermatologists to use skin-sloughing salicylic acid products to smooth arm texture. Since the bumps can’t be scrubbed away, it’s not recommended to use a loofah because it can cause more inflammation. Instead, use a washcloth. Chemical peels containing salicylic and lactic acids can also help to treat keratosis pilaris.
Sun spots and dark elbows
Sun spots can be treated with laser therapy or chemical peels that can reduce its appearance of even fully remove them. In case you cannot commit to a series of laser sessions, you may also consider using body makeup. A bronzer is better than a self-tanner in the case of dark spots. That is because a self-tanner actually grabs onto the dark spots and makes them even darker. To improve the looks of dark elbows, it is recommended to use skin lotions and creams that contain urea. Urea will help dissolve and remove dead skin, which will improve the appearance of your elbows.
When it comes to fighting arm jiggling, considering some arm workout will definitely make a difference and help achieve getting toned arms. Also, there are other much simpler but pricier options like radio frequency therapy that deliver heat into the skin to boost collagen production and produce a tightening effect. Working out your arms will require the use of weights like dumbbells. Simple exercises like biceps curls and triceps extensions are essential to practice. Also, you can include movements that don’t require the use of weights like arm circles. Arm Circles: stand with feet shoulder-width apart and your arms extended straight out to the sides of your shoulders. Keeping your shoulders down, do 20 small circles backwards and then switch directions and repeat.
