Venus Erbium Laser Procedure
The epithelial layer is removed in all of these procedures with the goal of rejuvenating the skin to an even tone and smooth, glowing surface. Common chemical peels and microdermabrasion remove the skin to a depth of 5 nm, but Venus erbium laser delivers to a depth of 30-60nm. At this depth, acne scars, chicken pox scars, wrinkles, benign lesions, and pigments are treated. The depth can be customized with the lightest called “the lunchtime peel” and the middle strength “a weekend peel”. A series of four to six treatments is recommended two to four weeks apart for optimal results. For added benefits maintenance treatments can be added.
